CWA in Tasmania belongs to the Country Women’s Association of Australia (CWAA) and the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) – the largest organisation of adult women in the world!
This year the Triennial World Conference of ACWW is being held in Melbourne and we have a team of delegates and observers taking part – look out for stories and pictures.
We also have some great friends at home – organisations whose work we admire and support and who value our contribution to community support and development. We work closely with many organisations across the State, some for short periods and others for longer or on an ongoing basis.
We have recently signed an MOU with Rural Business Tasmania outlining our plans to work together with RBT providing a means for CWA to provide people donating to us in emergency situations with a receipt for tax purposes. It will also allow us to work more closely with RBT field Officers who are aware of on ground needs that we may not know of.
In no particular order – Rural Alive and Well, Palliative Care Australia, Jean Haile, Women in Agriculture, The Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers, The National Rural Health Alliance, Red Cross, RACT, Rabobank, The Stroke Foundation, Rural Youth, the Royal Flying Doctors, the Lions Club, The Little Green Van and local Councils round Tasmania are a few of the organisations we have worked with or consulted over the last three years
