Make a difference in your community.
Donate to the CWA.
Thank you for showing you care about the importance of our work. A donation to CWA in Tas directly supports our efforts to help improve the lives of women and families, particularly those living in regional, rural and remote communities, both here in Tasmania and further afield.
Funding for all our giving programs and activities comes from membership fees, fundraising by members, donations from the general public and corporate sponsorships. As a not-for-profit organisation, we receive no government funding for operational purposes.
Leave a bequest.
Remembering the CWA in Tasmania in your will leave a lasting legacy for your community. A bequest is a very real way to ensure CWA in Tas can continue to support women and their families in need, particularly those living in regional, rural and remote Queensland communities.
After consideration for your loved ones, we would gratefully appreciate a bequest.
There are three types of bequests you can make:
Specific bequests: particular gifts such as real estate, books or clothing.
General bequests: a sum of money or percentage of the value of the estate made to a particular person or organisation.
Residuary bequests: the remains of an estate after specific and general bequests have been paid.
Goods in kind.
CWA in Tas engages with a number of welfare organisations throughout the state to provide much-needed practical assistance in the form of goods such as clothing, toys, personal care items.
Coordinated by our Community Support Officers, these donations are directed to new mothers, children in hospitals, aged care residents, women escaping domestic violence and people experiencing homelessness.
We gratefully accept donations of new, unused items of this nature. Please contact our State Office to arrange. Please be aware that CWA in Tas is unable to accept used items, even if they are clean and in good condition, however, we encourage you to pass such goods along to welfare organisations in your local community who can make use of them to assist those in need.
